Mendel are completeing the selection of designs for the spring collections.(PRWEB) September 10, 2005 -- Bibhu Mohapatra, the creative & technical genius behind the J. Mendel collection of the past five years, and his boss Gilles Mendel are selecting the specific looks for the show in Bryant Park on September 15th.
This years collection is building on looks inspired by the highly technical indian details and designs of the last collection by Mohapatra. The Mendel name stands for style and contextural integrity of the design, the fit and the finish.
Mr. Mendel is a marketing genius when it comes to the final cuts for the show. Mendel and Mohapatra, in a very extravagant way, create hundreds of designs that do not make it to the runway. "Mendel is not shy about cutting a look that might have required many hundreds of hours to create inorder to maintain the look and context created and envisioned by Mohapatra."
This a design team built on respect for the team`s respective talents.
While working at J. Mendel, Bibhu has designed clothes for Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson, Cameron Diaz, Sarah Jessica Parker, Julian Moore, Eve, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Salma Hayak, Mandy Moore, Gwen Stefani and Angelina Jolie. The line has been featured in every major fashion magazine, Vogue, Harpers, Elle, In style, Nirali Magazine, WWD.
His designs have been seen at the Oscars.
